Evergreen Robotics or the ER for short (NASA & Evergreen TEC High School #2942) is a team of high school students and professionals working together in the For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) Robotics Competition. ER is located at the Technology, Engineering, and Communications School (TEC) on the Evergreen Campus in Seattle, Washington.

The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is designed by FIRST to make high school students become aware of the fun and joy of working in science and technology. The competition includes building a robot that can perform specific tasks and competing against other robots in a competition. The 2009 FRC game is called Lunacy (click for the FIRST animation) - where the surface of the playing field is constructed to simulate the surface of the moon. Learn more about FIRST by visiting their homepage, or on our FIRST section.

The main goal of ER is to construct our robot with enough dedication and teamwork to compete and hopefully win the Rookie award. ER's charter for this competition is:

  • Teamwork can overcome all challenges
  • Improve our skills by working with professionals
  • Have fun with science and technology
